Yesterday’s urban hiking outing (in English) took us past the Camilien-Houde lookout where we saw a crowd of people taking photos of a crowd of raccoons, who were happily foraging for garbage and were clearly very used to people. Les Amis de la Montagne are running an educational campaign to discourage people from feeding the raccoons, who lose the ability to find their own food and run into trouble trying to feed themselves in the winter. Otherwise, we lucked out on weather again, walking just after a major downpour. Lovely evening, nice sunset from the top. We went out for drinks after the outing on St. Laurent and took advantage of the end-of-summer street fair. Thanks to all!
c'était un plaisir comme toujours…
