We ended our last bike ride of the spring After Work Bike Rides series on Monday with a picnic at Parc Angrignon. But first, we biked to Lasalle, along part of the Lachine Canal, and then down by the Verdun waterfront. Once at the parc des rapides, we admired the incredibly huge Lachine Rapids from shore.

There is a lot of wildlife in this protected area, including the heron below. This was a nice long ride and most of the group opted to take the metro home directly from Parc Angrignon – it’s very practical since there is a metro station right in the park! Thanks to Neil for the photos in this post and also for being a great volunteer with these bike rides and many other activities! Thanks to all of the participants and can’t wait for this summer when we can explore even more of Montreal’s bike paths and hidden parks…
