Métro ligne orange direction Montmorency. Descendre à la station Cartier
Prendre le bus 73 (STL), direction Fabreville. Descendre à Ste-Rose/Longpré (arrêt 42992) et marcher jusqu’au parc (pas loin !)
Le trajet prend environ 1 heure.
On peut également y aller en vélo, métro + vélo, en voiture…
Pour ceux qui aimeraient voyager avec Monica, elle y va tôt, pour y être pour notre cours de surf avec pagaie le matin. Rendez-vous DEVANT le métro mont-Royal à 8h45. Monica attendra 10 minutes et ensuite partira avec ceux qui seront présents. Merci d’être à l’heure ! Monica aura une petite fiche 8×11 « Association récréative Milton-Parc » au point de rendez-vous.
Si vous venez avec Monica, vous aurez l’occasion de profiter du parc, voir les animations de Festivague et emprunter des embarcations gratuitement.
Sinon, vous pouvez retrouver Monica directement sur place. Il faudrait y être à 12h15 pour vous laisser le temps de vous changer, emprunter une veste de flottaison etc. Veuillez noter que Monica va participer au cours de surf avec pagaie de 11h30 à 12h30. Entretemps, je vous invite à chercher les vestiaires, vous changer, et faire le fil d’attente pour emprunter une veste de flottaison. Monica gardera l’œil ouvert pour vous retrouver mais si vous pouvez faire la même chose ça serait très apprécié!

Short pour sports aquatiques si vous voulez
Vous pouvez faire les activités pieds nus ou alors portez des chaussures qui vont dans l’eau
Serviette
Cadenas**
Crème solaire, chapeau
Chasse-moustiques ?
Ficelle pour attacher vos lunettes s’il faut les garder lors de l’activité
Collations, pique-nique, eau… Il y aura de l’eau sur place également. Il y aura probablement moyen d’acheter à manger pas loin (à confirmer…)
Appareil photo – si quelqu’un pourrait prendre des photos durant la journée, (de ceux qui sont à l’aise d’être sur des photos) et m’envoyer quelques photos, ça serait très apprécié !
Note importante : dans le canot, tout ce que vous apportiez devrait résister à l’eau et être bien attaché !
Autres informations par rapport au trajet :
A noter : Le bus 73 fait partie de la Société de transport de Laval. Une fois à Laval, il faudra donc acheter un nouveau ticket de bus – 3,25$ en monnaie exacte, payable directement dans le bus.
En rentrant, puisque le métro Cartier est situé à Laval, vos cartes OPUS ne vont pas fonctionner. Prévoyez de payer 3,25$ en argent comptant pour votre retour en métro.
Coût total transport = 12,75$
Aller : 3$ (métro) + 3,25$ (bus 73)
Retour : 3,25$ (bus) + 3,25$ (métro)

MEC’s PaddleFest (Festivague) Intro to Canoeing – Information for Participants (who have already registered officially via the Milton Park Recreation Association)

Your contact person on June 29th will be Monica Wendt, who is a wonderful volunteer with our organization (ARMP). Thank you Monica! I won’t be with you personally on Sunday (unfortunately) but can’t wait to hear how it goes. I’ve attached a photo of Monica so you can recognize her onsite!
Directions : https://goo.gl/maps/cqBK4 (Orange line of the metro + bus 73). By public transportation, it takes about an hour to get there.
Take the orange line towards Montmorency. Get off at metro Cartier. Take bus 73 (Fabreville direction). Get off at Ste-Rose/Longpré (stop number 42992) and walk to the park (not far – continue in the same direction as the bus).
You can also go by bike, metro plus bike, by car…
If anyone would like to get there by metro and bus with Monica, please feel free! She’s going early so she can be there for our Stand Up Paddleboard course in the morning. Please meet her in front of metro Mont-Royal at 8:45am. Monica will wait 10 minutes and then will leave with whoever is there. Please be on time! Monica will have a small 8×11 poster with « Association récréative Milton-Parc » written on it.
The 73 bus is not very frequent so Monica (and those who will be traveling with her) will arrive early, around 10 am. If you arrive early, you can enjoy the park, other Festivague kiosks and events, and could borrow a boat to try.
Otherwise, you can meet up with Monica directly onsite. Please be there at 12:15 pm to leave time to get changed, line up and borrow a life jacket, etc. Monica will be participating in the Stand Up Paddleboard course from 11:30 – 12:30 pm. After that, she will keep her eyes open to find you – please be on the lookout for her too!

While canoeing, you can either be barefoot or bring shoes that you don’t mind getting wet.

String to attach your glasses if you need to keep them on during the activity

Snacks, picnic lunch, water… I’m sure there will be water onsite, and likely a way to buy food, but just in case…
Camera (though please only bring things in the canoe that would be okay if they got wet – and that are well attached!) If someone can take some photos during the day and send me them (of people who don’t mind!) that would be great!
Other information about getting there:
Please note – Bus 73 is part of Laval’s transit system so you’ll need to buy a new ticket once you get on this bus. Please bring $3.25 in exact change each way.
When you take the bus and metro home, since metro Cartier is in Laval, your OPUS card won’t be accepted. You’ll need to pay $3.25 in cash onsite.
Total cost of public transportation: $12.75
Getting there: $3 (metro) + $3.25 (bus 73)
Getting home: $3.25 (bus 73) + $3.25 (metro from Laval)
