Photo par Loïc RomerSamedi 27 juin, nous avons eu le plaisir d’apprendre plusieurs sports de pagaie lors de l’événement Festivague organisé par MEC à Laval, au parc de la rivière des Mille-îles. On pouvait emprunter des embarcations gratuitement, ou alors prendre un cours à 10$ ou 15$ – de surf à pagaie, canot en eau calme, kayak de mer, etc.!
There were between 25 and 30 of us in total throughout the day from our Intercultural Outdoor Recreation group. Participants hailed from near and far, united in their desire to try paddlesports! Many of us took public transportation or else got there by bike. Great bike path in Laval!! Also, our SUP group noticed some turtles, Canada geese and ducks in the river. Thanks everyone!!
This day was just one of many paddling, cycling and hiking events that are part of this summer’s Intercultural Outdoor Recreation at the Pan-Am Games activities. We’re making a conceptual link to the Pan Am Games in Toronto this summer! Come out in participate in many more activities throughout the summer! There are free trial activities, as well as prizes to win!
