Seeking Volunteers to Help Guide Groups at our Intercultural Hiking Day

The Intercultural Outdoor Recreation Program is seeking volunteers to help lead and organise activities during our Intercultural Hiking Day on Saturday November 3rd in the afternoon. We will be inviting members of the public to come walk with us in the Milton-Parc neighbourhood and in Mount-Royal Park while practicing languages such as French, English and Spanish and more. We’ll break into a few small groups in order to discuss in the various different languages. After the walk, we’ll continue the discussion while having tea and dessert!

When: Saturday November 3rd from 12:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Where: Meet at the Milton-Park Recreation Association’s Galeries du Parc space at 3590 Jeanne-Mance Street. We’ll return to the same place at the end of the activity.

Volunteers : We are seeking volunteers who can co-lead outdoor language exchanges while hiking in small groups. Ideally, we are looking for people who already know our hiking program or other activities, who work well with the public and are used to walking. We’ll help you prepare! We are looking for people who enjoy working with families and/or adults, and who could co-lead outdoor language exchanges in French-English, French-Spanish, or French-Arabic for instance. We will also be looking for people to stay onsite to welcome participants and help with logistics.

To register: There is no cost to participate. Space is limited so please reserve using the forms below.
