Montreal’s kayak club is offering a few discounted last-minute spots for new Canadians in its upcoming Tuesday and Sunday evening beginner pool kayak classes! This will be a great opportunity to have fun in a heated pool, learn the basics of kayaking, and even learn how to do an eskimo roll (how to put your kayak upright if it’s upside down)!
These courses will take place Tuesdays from 8-10 pm on Feb. 25th, and March 3, 10, 17 and 24. A second group will take place on Sundays from 6 – 8 pm on Mach 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Both courses will take place at the Jean-Claude Malépart Centre near Frontenac metro station. The regular cost is $175 and the reduced rate is $90. This includes the 5 pool classes, use of kayaks, and an annual membership to this kayak club. Courses will be given in French though some instructors might speak some English. Please see the description of the courses here.
1. This last-minute offer is not retroactive
2. This offer is for people born outside of Canada and living here for less than 5 years.
3. You should be comfortable in the water
How to register: First, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in reserving a discounted spot and let us know how long you have been in Canada as well as your country of origin and whether you prefer SUNDAYS or TUESDAYS. It’s first come, first served and space is limited. Then, on Monday morning, we will send you a code that you can use to register and pay via the club’s website. You will need to register fairly quickly after that.
We hope you can take advantage of this opportunity to learn kayaking!
