In the summer, it’s hot and we all want to get out on the water! But paddling involves a lot of equipment and skills, and often requires a car. Help us remove these barriers and make these activities more accessible to everyone! Make a charitable donation by July 10th and sponsor a low-income newcomer or refugee to discover kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and canoe-camping with us this summer!

  1. For $10, a newcomer can learn stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking with us at the Lachine Canal!
  2. For $20, he or she can try kayaking with us on the Rivière des Prairies!
  3. For $210, a newcomer will be able to participate in a complete whitewater kayaking course (two days) in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield!
  4. For $340, he or she could participate in our introduction to canoe-camping and a total immersion in nature… at the Portneuf Regional Natural Park!

How to donate: please go to the donations page of the Maison de l’Amitié, one of the organizations that co-presents the Plein air interculturel program. In the list of funds/projects, please select Intercultural Outdoor Recreation. Let us know you’ve donated so that we can make sure your charity receipt is sent to you. Your receipt will be issued by the Maison de l’Amitié de Montréal.

Thank you so much for supporting the Intercultural Outdoor Recreation Program, a joint initiative of the Milton Park Recreation Association and the Maison de l’amitié de Montréal (a registered charity).  If we exceed our fundraising goals this summer, your donation will help low-income newcomers participate in our fall activities.
