I am incredibly proud to announce that the Intercultural Outdoor Recreation Program is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year! Since I founded the program in 2010 with the Milton-Parc Recreation Association (ARMP) and the Maison de l’amitié, we have brought together 7,000 Montrealers from diverse backgrounds through accessible outdoor activities.
This program was the first of its kind in Canada, and over the years, we have developed unique expertise, which we now share through training and support.
We have won awards, and numerous articles have been written about us. But when I think back on the past 15 years, what makes me the proudest is all the joy and friendships that have blossomed through our activities.
We could not have done it without you—our dear participants, volunteers, partners, donors, funders, supporters, and colleagues!
To celebrate our 15th anniversary, we will be hosting festive outdoor activities throughout the year! Stay tuned for the next opportunity to celebrate with us.
And we can’t wait to continue offering inclusive outdoor activities for at least 15 more years!
Adrienne Blattel, Founder of the Intercultural Outdoor Recreation Program.
