Help us make our intro to canoe-camping and whitewater kayaking trips accessible to all!

These beautiful and immersive outdoor experiences require a lot of gear, guidance, and transportation. Let’s work together to remove these barriers and make these adventures more inclusive!

Make a charitable donation by July 10th and sponsor a low-income newcomer or refugee so they can discover the joy of whitewater kayaking or canoe-camping with us this summer.

  1. For every $210 we raise, a newcomer will be able to participate in a complete whitewater kayaking course (two days) in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield on July 26th and 27th!
  2. For $340, he or she could participate in our introduction to canoe-camping and a total immersion in nature… at the Portneuf Regional Natural Park August 8-10th!
  3. A donation of any amount is a huge help! Many thanks in advance!

How to donate: please go to the donations page of the Maison de l’Amitié, one of the organizations that co-presents the Plein air interculturel program. In the list of funds/projects, please select Intercultural Outdoor Recreation. Let us know you’ve donated so that we can make sure your charity receipt is sent to you. Your receipt will be issued by the Maison de l’Amitié de Montréal.*

Thank you so much for supporting the Intercultural Outdoor Recreation Program, a joint initiative of the Milton Park Recreation Association and the Maison de l’amitié de Montréal (a registered charity).  If we exceed our fundraising goals this summer, your donation will help low-income newcomers participate in our fall activities.

Wishing you a wonderful summer!

*When we suggest a direction for these donations, we recognize that the Maison de l’Amitié maintains full authority over how donations will be used to fulfill the intended purpose.
