Introduction to Winter Sports >> Saturdays at 10 a.m.

Learn to love winter through this introduction to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and skating! We will prioritize skiing when snow conditions permit, and we will schedule snowshoeing and skating otherwise. This course is perfect for beginners and anyone who wants to get the most out of Montreal’s winters!

For whom? This activity is suitable for adults who are able to do moderate physical activity for 2 hours outdoors.

Location – We will usually meet in Jeanne-Mance Park at the corner of Duluth West and Parc Avenue here. After that, we will cross the street to ski or snowshoe in Mount Royal Park.  When we go skating, we will meet directly at a nearby rink such as Beaver Lake or Parc Lafontaine. For our full-day outing, we will likely go outside of Montreal.

6 Saturdays from 10 am until 12 pm. We meet at 9:30 am to prepare for the course and put on ski boots and so that we can start the activity at 10 am.

One of the outings will be a full-day excursion outside of Montreal. We will inform you of the exact date and destination a bit closer to the date.

Dates of outings: January 5, 12, 19 and 26, and February 2 and 23.
