Montreal By Ski — Fridays

Here’s a presentation of this activity by video!

Discover the best cross-country ski trails in Montreal in good company! Every Friday, meet at a new park to do around 10-15 km of cross-country skiing (classic style) as a group. While this is not a course, a certified instructor will accompany you and provide advice as needed.

Preliminary schedule of outings:

January 13: Parc Jean-Drapeau

January 20: Maisonneuve Park and the Botanical Garden

January 27: Bois-de-Liesse Nature Park

February 3: The Great Southwest (one-way)

February 10: Pointe-aux-Prairies Nature Park

February 17: Cap-St-Jacques Nature Park

Timing: each Friday, we’ll meet onsite around 10 am and will finish in early to mid-afternoon. Times will vary. We will send you the exact park, meeting spot and meeting time each week.

This activity is designed for independent skiers at the advanced-beginner and intermediate level. You will need to be able to do the classic stride with glide and weight transfer. This activity is certainly not a race, but you should be able to ski at a regular pace to stay together as a group (about 5 km / hour).  On average, we will ski a distance of around 10 to 15 km. If you have different objectives on a given day, it will be possible for you to shorten or lengthen the route on your own. Instructions will be given in French and English. Do not hesitate to contact us if you are not sure of your level:
