Online Beginner Cross-Country Ski Course

Join us for this series of 3 virtual meetings to learn the basic techniques of cross-country skiing. This course is designed for beginners who have never taken a course. During these 3 evenings, we will present the following topics : how to ski on a flat surface, how to go uphill and downhill, how to get up if you fall down, what to wear, safety, taking care of your skis, where to rent skis, where to ski in Montreal, etc. Be prepared to participate actively both online and while trying out movements indoors! Each week, we’ll provide you with suggested activities to try on your own while skiing.

Where? Online via Teams. You don’t need a Teams account to participate. We will send a link and information at least one day prior to the course. Please keep an eye on your spam folders and contact us at pleinair@miltonpark.org if you don’t hear back. Please note that the course may be recorded and shared in part or in full. By registering for the course, you are giving your permission to appear in a publicly shared recording.
