Come hike with us in the Laurentians and sleep in a hut! 🌲🏕️
Learn to travel light during 2 days of hiking and one night in a rustic shelter along the magnificent Intercentre trail network. The setting is wild, and there will be no electricity or running water. We’ll hike approximately 7 km each day, carrying everything we need in our backpacks. Nature observation activities (including plants and mushrooms) will be part of the weekend. Included: guiding, organization, 1 breakfast and 1 dinner, transportation, and if needed, the loan of poles, a backpack, a camping mattress, and a sleeping bag. Rain or shine. 🌦️

Prerequisites: This introductory outing is designed for beginners with little or no experience of hiking with a pack. However, a good level of fitness is required to carry a 50 to 70L backpack containing everything you need for the weekend over a distance of 7 km each day.
Notes:
- Meeting Point: We will meet next to Crémazie Metro Station at 7:30 a.m. on October 19 for departure. The return is scheduled for Sunday evening, but the exact time may vary.
- Transportation: Drivers will be compensated by the Association for each person transported. Please consult our carpooling rules here.
- Refund Policy: Written cancellation at least 7 days before the activity: full refund. Written cancellation at least 72 hours before the activity: 50% refund. Less than 72 hours before the start: no refund.
- Preparation: A preparatory meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at 7 p.m. (location to be confirmed) to plan carpooling, the menu, and answer your questions. You will participate in meal preparation, grocery shopping, and other common tasks. Purchased ingredients will be reimbursed.
- Conditions: We will be in a remote area, and cell phone service is not guaranteed.
- Membership: This registration includes a free temporary membership to the Association récréative Milton-Parc on the days of the activity.
